| Description | ML204 hydrochloride (ML204 HCl) is a selective and potent TRPC4/TRPC5 channel antagonist that blocks TRPC4β currents activated by intracellular dialysis via μ-opioid receptor stimulation or guanosine 5'-3-O-(thio)trisphosphate (GTPgammaS). |
| In vitro | ML204 hydrochloride inhibited TRPC4β-mediated increase in intracellular Ca2? (HEK293 cells) at an IC50 value of 0.96 μM with 19-fold selectivity for muscarinic receptor-activated TRPC6 channels. [1] ML204 hydrochloride inhibits TRPC4β activity by blocking u-opioid, 5HT1A serotonin, Gi/o activation, and M2 muscarinic receptor or endogenous M3-like muscarinic receptor-stimulated Gq/11 pathways.
