Light yellow transparent oily liquid at room temperature, melting point 13.4oC, specific gravity 0.8905, insoluble in water, soluble in ethanol, gaso-line and other organic solvents, hydrogenated into stearic acid, with the general chemical properties of organic carboxylic acid and unsaturated double bond chemical properties.
