Polyglutamic Acid (γ-PGA) which exists frequently in nature in the form of sodium polyglutamate, is usually a sticky anionic amino acids polymer. It was produced by Bacillus subtilis(natto). Since each glutamate element contains a plurality of hydrophilic groupsand a highly hydrophilic coo- (carboxyl group, carboxyl group) anion functional base, γ-PGA is highly hydrophilic and thus becomes an excellent natural moisturizing ingredient.
