Pomalidomide (Pomalidomide) is a newly listed third-generation Immulo-modulator drug (IMiD), developed by Celgene Company in the United States, which is a drug modified and synthesized on the basis of the chemical structure of the first generation of IMiD thalidomide. It can enhance the immune response mediated by T cells and natural killer cells, inhibit the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines in monocytes and induce apoptosis of tumor cells, and has been widely concerned in the treatment of various malignant tumors and immune diseases.

Pomalidomide, chemically known as 4-amino-2 - (2, 6-dioxy-piperidine-3-yl) -isodihydroindole-1, 3-dione, is a thalidomide analogue and an immunomodulator with antitumor activity. In vitro cytological tests, it can inhibit the proliferation of hematopoietic tumor cells and induce apoptosis. In addition, pomalidomide inhibited the proliferation of lenalidomide-resistant multiple myeloma cell lines and induced tumor cell apoptosis in lenalidomide-sensitive and lenalidomide-resistant cell lines synergistically with dexamethasone.
