Product Features: 

Brightens and evens skin tone, soothes and reduces excessive pigmentation, corrects epidermal atypical hyperplasia, refines the keratinization process, promotes melanin excretion, prevents freckles and dark spots, and smooths skin.

Mechanism of Action: 

In areas with dark spots, increased melanin production within melanocytes in the basal layer of the epidermis leads to excessive melanin accumulation, causing the skin to appear dark. Typically, melanin is transferred from melanocytes to keratinocytes and, through skin keratinization, pushed toward the surface. It is then exfoliated from the skin along with the stratum corneum. In healthy skin with optimal keratinization, melanin is efficiently expelled, maintaining appropriate levels. However, impaired keratinization hinders melanin's smooth passage through the epidermis, leading to excessive accumulation within the skin. The hyperpigmented state in dark spot areas is not solely due to excessive melanin production but is also significantly related to chronic keratinization errors.

Application Information:

Potassium methoxysalicylate corrects epidermal dysplasia, dyskeratosis, and atrophy, effectively improving the keratinization process to facilitate smooth melanin excretion. simultaneously increasing the size and number of transparent keratin granules, thickening the granular layer, thinning the stratum corneum, accelerating keratinocyte stratification, and resulting in smoother, brighter skin. 

Potassium methoxysalicylate not only shares the melanin-inhibiting efficacy of existing whitening ingredients but also regulates keratinocyte differentiation, improving skin conditions prone to excessive melanin deposition. Human efficacy trials confirm its outstanding protective effect against artificially induced hyperpigmentation. Based on these findings, potassium methoxysalicylate was developed as a quasi-drug and approved in Japan. It has also gained approval as an active ingredient in South Korea (functional cosmetics), China (special-use cosmetics), and Taiwan (cosmetics containing drugs)—jurisdictions with similar regulatory frameworks—gaining global recognition in the whitening cosmetics market.
