| Description | Quinaprilat is an orally active ACE inhibitor, the active metabolite of quinapril, and a substrate for OAT3. It blocks the conversion of angiotensin I to angiotensin II, exhibiting antihypertensive activity. |
| In vitro | Quinaprilat (5μM) promotes its own active renal secretion by mediating the interaction with hOAT3, increasing the uptake by HEK293 cells to 25 times the original level, with a Km value of 13.4μM for its binding [1].
Quinaprilat (100 nM, 20 minutes) can activate the B1 receptor, thereby inhibiting PKC activity and leading to NO release from HLMVE cells [2]. |
