This compound impairs mitochondrial function by blocking oxidative phosphorylation (OXPHOS), inhibiting oxygen consumption rate (OCR), increasing reactive oxygen species (ROS) production, and diminishing mitochondrial membrane potential (MMP). Furthermore, SCAL-266 demonstrates significant antiproliferative activity against OXPHOS-dependent cancer cells [1]. |
