Succinonitrile, also butanedinitrile, is a nitrile, with the formula of C2H4(CN)2. It is a colorless solid that melts at 57°C, hence its waxy consistency.
Succinonitrile is produced by the addition of hydrogen cyanide to acrylonitrile:
CH2=CHCN + HCN → NCCH2CH2CN
Hydrogenation of succinonitrile yields 1,4-diaminobutane.

Stability: Stable under normal temperatures and pressures.

Storage conditions: the warehouse is ventilated and dry at low temperature, and stored separately from oxidants, acids and food additives

Usage:It is used as a solvent to extract aromatic hydrocarbons from petroleum fractions and as a polishing agent for nickel, and also in organic synthesis.
