What is Triethanolamine?

Triethanolamine is also known as trihydroxyethylamine and aminotriethanol. Triethanolamine is used primarily as a surfactant, reducing the surface tension between two media. It is mainly used in the manufacture of surfactants, liquid detergents, cosmetics and so on.
Triethanolamine is used as an additive in the polymerization of nitrile rubber, a concrete coagulant, an oil emulsifier, and is also used in cyanide-free electroplating. It is also used in the pharmaceutical and textile industries.
