Tris HCl (CAS# 11185-53-1), trimethylaminomethane hydrochloride, 2-Amino-2-(hydroxymethyl)-1,3-propanediol hydrochloride,is a white crystalline product that is readily soluble in water and has no irritating odor. Tris HCl is generally known as a second-generation Good's buffer and has better solubility and stability than traditional Good's buffer.
Tris HCl is a very important biological buffer and is used extensively in the biological systems diagnostic industry, such as electrophoresis and protein bioprocesses. pKa of Tris HCl is 8.1, which makes it ideal for biologic formulations, and Tris HCl buffer can be used in a variety of biological applications including, culture media, electrophoresis separations and diagnostic reagent formulations.
It provides a stable, weak alkaline environment. It provides a stable, weakly alkaline environment (7.0-9.1) and the pH of all buffers is temperature and concentration dependent. For Tris HCl buffers, the pH increases by approximately 0.03 units per 1°C increase in temperature and decreases by 0.03-0.05 units per 10-fold dilution.We have our own production plant, and the purity of the products we produce can re
