| In vitro | Urocortin, human, is a selective agonist of the CRF2 receptor, displaying Ki values of 0.4 nM for human CRF1, 0.3 nM for rat CRF2α, and 0.5 nM for mouse CRF2β receptors in cell assays [1]. |
| In vivo | Urocortin (0.01 to 10 μg) decreases food intake in both food-deprived and non-deprived rats, with similar effects observed in mice following a 1 μg i.c.v. administration. It is a potent suppressor of ingestive behavior and has the potential to induce anxiogenic behavior[2]. |
