Valganciclovir is a DNA polymerase inhibitor. After oral administration, ganciclovir is rapidly hydrolyzed into ganciclovir under the action of intestinal mucosal cell esterase and liver esterase, so its pharmacodynamic characteristics are the pharmacodynamic characteristics of ganciclovir.
