DSPE-PEG2000-NH₂ is a PEG derivative that can be used in a variety of biomedical applications, such as building drug delivery systems (siRNA delivery liposomes, lipid nanoparticles LNP, etc.), where primary amine (-NH₂) groups easily form stable amide bonds with carboxyl groups (-COOH). It can be used to conjugate or label proteins, peptides and other biomolecules with carboxyl groups or other reactions with primary amines.
