Suc-Gly-Pro-AMC acetate is the acetate form of Suc-Gly-Pro-AMC (CAS 80049-85-0, free form product number: BA5962). Suc-Gly-Pro-AMC is a cathepsin B-specific fluorogenic peptide substrate. Its Gly-Pro peptide bond can be specifically recognized and cleaved by cathepsin B, releasing the fluorescent AMC (excitation wavelength ~350 nm, emission wavelength ~440 nm). The fluorescence intensity is positively correlated with enzyme activity.
