1H-Pyrrolo[3,2-b]pyridin-7-amine is a potent inhibitor of cyclization catalysed by 7-azaindole. It was synthesized as a modification of the 7-azaindole synthesis and has been shown to be a lipophilic heterocycle. This compound is not readily soluble in water and can be used for the synthesis of other heterocycles with similar properties. The yields are high and the modifications are easy to make, making this compound an excellent candidate for use in research.
