Physical properties: DIBK is Colorless, low-density, slow-volatile solvent with good activity on many synthetic resins. Including nitrocellulose, rosin esters, phenolic resins, hydrocarbon resins, alkyd resins, polyester and acrylic resins
Applications:
Diisobutyl ketone is widely used in industrial chemistry and industry.
It ensures good solubility of many synthetic resins. And also used as a solvent in nitrocellulose varnishes, high solid content coatings and analgesics.
It is also used as a binder, printing ink, and solvent in cleaning and degreasing processes, as well as dyes and pesticides.
Diisobutyl ketone is also used in mining, such as an auxiliary material for mining and as an auxiliary agent for extracting gold, rare earth metals from aqueous metals.
For analytical purposes, it is also used as a solvent and helps in the extraction and recrystallization process, and as a pharmaceutical ingredient in the pharmaceutical industry.
DIBK is also an important component in the production of diisobutyl methanol.
