Demoxytocin is a heterologous cyclic peptide that is an analog of oxytocin and is a cyclic polypeptide composed of 9 amino acids. Demoxytocin affects the permeability of cell membranes, increases the content of calcium ions in smooth muscle cells, and thus increases the contraction of smooth muscle cells. Demoxytocin can also stimulate the contraction of uterine smooth muscle. Demoxytocin has the function of oxytocin. Demoxytocin can be used to study the delivery stimulation of premature rupture.
