The higher the dose of Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, the more interleukin is reduced—up to 40%." It is known that UV radiation can promote interleukin production. When cells are exposed to UV radiation and then treated with Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7, interleukin levels decrease by 86%. Palmitoyl Tetrapeptide-7 is a key component of Matrixyl 3000 and is used in combination with Palmitoyl Oligopeptide. Together, they promote the growth of connective tissue and increase collagen production in the skin. As collagen levels rise, the skin can self-heal and regenerate.
