Maridebart (AMG 133) is an investigational antibody-peptide conjugate designed for the treatment of obesity and type 2 diabetes. Its unique structure consists of a monoclonal antibody scaffold conjugated to engineered peptide modules that confer dual agonism/antagonism: it acts as a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor agonist and a glucose-dependent insulinotropic polypeptide (GIP) receptor antagonist.
