Derlotuximab is a recombinant human monoclonal antibody engineered as a targeted therapy for glioblastoma (GBM) and other solid tumors. It is designed to specifically bind to an intracellular antigen—DNA/histone (H1) complexes—that becomes exposed in the necrotic core of aggressive tumors. This unique targeting strategy allows the antibody to deliver a therapeutic payload (such as a radioactive isotope) directly to the tumor site, sparing healthy tissues. It has been investigated in clinical trials, including advanced phases, for the treatment of recurrent or newly diagnosed GBM.
