Usilnetug is a humanized IgG1 kappa monoclonal antibody targeting amyloid precursor protein (APP), a transmembrane protein that, when cleaved by β- and γ-secretases, generates amyloid-beta (Aβ) peptides implicated in Alzheimer's disease pathogenesis. It binds to APP to modulate its processing, aiming to reduce the production of pathogenic Aβ species and slow disease progression. It is being developed for the treatment of early Alzheimer's disease.
