Anivovetmab (KIND-030) is a chimeric (or caninized) monoclonal antibody of the IgG2 kappa isotype. Its primary function is as a veterinary therapeutic agent for the treatment and prevention of Canine Parvovirus Type 2 (CPV-2) infection, a highly contagious and often fatal disease in dogs. By binding to its target, Anivovetmab acts as a passive immunizing agent, directly neutralizing the virus and assisting the dog's immune system in clearing the infection. It mimics the natural protective antibodies produced during recovery from the disease.
