Delcasertib is an effective and selective inhibitor peptide of delta protein kinase C (delta PKC), consisting of 23 amino acids linked together by disulfide bonds in its sequence. Delcasertib can improve ischemia-reperfusion injury in animal models of acute myocardial infarction. At the same molar concentration, the salt form and free form of the compound have the same biological activity, but the salt form Delcasertib hydrochloride usually has better water solubility and stability.
