Alpha-Arbutin is transformed by biological enzyme. The product is a single α configuration with high purity and good stability.
The whitening mechanism of α-arbutin: the structure of arbutin and tyrosine is similar, so it has the characteristics of competitive tyrosinase. Through the direct combination of itself and tyrosinase, it competes for the binding site of dopa, inhibits the activity of tyrosine in the skin, blocks the generation of melanin, accelerates the decomposition and excretion of melanin, so as to reduce the deposition of melanin in the skin, remove the spots and freckles, and has no toxic, irritant, sensitizing and other side effects on melanin cells, and has bactericidal effect.
