DXSORB 2908 is also called UV Absorber 2908, Hexadecyl 3,5-bis-tert-butyl-4-hydroxybenzoate, 3,5-Bis[1,1-dimethylethyl]-4-hydroxybenzoic acid hexadecyl ester etc.,  it has product advantages of low volatility, minimal color contribution, good chemical stability, acid and alkali resistant, excellent compatibilty with UV absorbers, HALS, and thioesters, FDA sanctioned to 0.5% in polyolefins.

Application

DXSORB 2908 belongs to the class of hindered hydroxybenzoate light stabilizer. UV-2908 is most suitable for the protection of polyolefins, polycarbonate and the systems containing flame retardants and thioesters.  It can be used alone or in combination with benzophenone UV stabilizer or phosphite antioxidant, showing good synergistic effect.The dosage of UV-2908 ranges between 0.25% and 1% are recommended for protection. It depends on the substrate and performance requirement of the final application.

UV-3538 offers very strong and broad UV absorption with no color contrbution. Possesses very good stablization for polyesters and polycatbonates. Provides low volatility. Imparts high UV screening efficiency.
