How to prepare 1,5-Diphenylcarbazide solution for colorimetric testing?

For colorimetric testing, add 1.0 g 1,5-Diphenylcarbazide in 100 mL Aceton plus a drop acetic acid glacial or add 0.1 g in 100 mL Ethanol. It can be used as a redox indicator for colorimetric determination of chromium, mercury, lead, and determination of dichromate. The colorless (or faint white) indicator is oxidized and forms a vivid, brightly colored complex with the reduced metal ions.
