Description
Centchroman is a new, weekly, orally active contraceptive with weak estrogenic and potent antiestrogenic properties.It is reported to be the first non-hormonal, non-steroidal oral contraceptive. Centchroman acts by inhibiting the implantation of fertilized eggs in the uterus. With the exception of longer menstrual cycles, no side effects have been reported.
