Description

R-(+)-Baclofen (free base) is a selective GABA_B receptor agonist. GABA_B receptors are metabotropic receptors which produce slow inhibitory signals. By manipulating GABA_B receptor activity using Baclofen, a variety of functions are studied including synaptic transmissions and antinociception events.
