Typical experimental procedure for primary amines synthesis
General procedure: A mixture of alkyl halide (1.0 mmol) and 5-methyl-1,3,4-thiadiazole-2-amine (1) (1.5 mmol) were added to a flaskcontaining 3 mmol Et3N and 2 cm3 EtOH/H2O (10:1). The reaction continued at room temperature under atmosphericconditions 1 h. The reaction progress was controlled by thin-layer chromatography. Then, crude reaction mixture was purified by column chromatography (petroleum ether/ethyl acetate 1:4) to give the primary amines in good yields.
