[00391] A mixture of the title compound of Preparation 128 (4.8 g, 22.8 mmol) and 2M aqueous sodium hydroxide solution (25 ml, 50 mmol) was stirred at room temperature for 4 hours, then washed with ether. The resulting aqueous solution was acidified to pH 3 using 1M hydrochloric acid and extracted with dichloromethane (3×50 ml). The combined extracts were dried (MgSO4) and evaporated under reduced pressure to give the title compound (4.16 g, 93%) as an oil. δ (CDCl3): 3.50 (3H, s), 3.86 (2H, t), 4.41 (2H, t), 7.08 (1H, d), 7.19 (1H, m), 7.58 (1H, m), 8.22 (1H, d).
