2,4,5-trichloroaniline (10 g) was dissolved in acetic anhydride (50 mL) and stirred overnight at room temperature. The resulting solid was filtered and air dried to give N-(2,4,5-trichlorophenyl)acetamide as an off white solid (12 g, 99%). Rf=0.5 (1:1 EA/heptane).
