Steps:
20.1 Step 1. 4-(2-aminoethyl)aniline
2-(4-Nitrophenypethanamine (5.0 g, 30 mmol) and Raney Ni (500 mg) were added to methanol (50 mL) and the mixture was stirred under 1 atmosphere of hydrogen overnight. The reaction mixture was filtered, Raney Ni was washed with methanol (50 mL×4), and the filtrate was dried by rotary evaporation to give 4-(2-aminoethyl)aniline (4.1 g, 30 mmol), yield: 100%.
