1 (Synthetic Intermediate Compound B)
Under atmospheric pressure, 4.00 g of Intermediate Compound A and 100 ml of a cyclohexane solution in which 0.17 g of iodine was dissolved were placed in a 300 ml reaction vessel, and irradiated with a 450-W high-pressure Hg arc lamp (>280 nm) for about 10 hours. After the irradiation, the solid in the reaction solution was suction filtered to give 3.62 g (yield: 91%) of Compound B as a white solid.
