2-Amino-3-hydroxy-4-methyl pyridine 0.89g (0.0072mol), phosphorus trichloride, 1.92g (0.014mol) and dimethylformamide 0.73g (0.01mol) was added dichloro 12ml ethane, the reaction was refluxed for 6h, the mixture was added to ice water and concentrated, the bleaching agent is added, adjusting the pH of the filtered solution until neutral, leaving the organic phase extracted with ethyl acetate, dried and concentrated to give 2-amino-3-chloro 4-methylpyridine 0.96g, 93.9% yield
