6 Example 6: Synthesis of 3-ethyl-1H-indole(3f)
Accurately weigh indole (117.2mg, 1.0mmol), ethyl vinyl ether (216.3mg, 3.0mmol), indium trichloride (22.1mg, 0.1mmol), and add them to a 25mL Schlenk bottle, and add tetrahydrofuran (10.0 mL), placed in an oil bath at 70°C for 12 hours.After the completion of the reaction, the solvent was distilled off under reduced pressure, petroleum ether/ethyl acetate was used as the eluent, and silica gel column chromatography was used for separation. The yield of the alkylated product was >99%.
