Step 4: To a solution of alcohol (238 mg, 1.5 mmol) in dry DCM (10 mL), Mn02(1.95 g, 22.5 mmol) was added, and the reaction was stirred at room temperature for 5 h. The solid was removed by filtration (washing with DCM), and the filtrate was evaporated todryness to give the title compound (193 mg, purity: 92% by UV a/a, recovery 82%).
