1-1 Step 1-1. Synthesis of (1S,3S)-1-Methyl-2,3,4,9-tetrahydro-1H-pyrido-[3,4-b]indole-3-carboxylic acid:
Add 0.5mL concentrated H2SO4 and 40% acetaldehyde aqueous solution (3.5mL, 24.5mmol,1.0 eq) then L-tryptophan (5.0 g, 24.5 mmol, 1.0 eq) was added.The mixture was stirred at room temperature overnight, adjusted to pH=6-7 with 1mol/L sodium hydroxide,A white solid precipitated. Filter the white slurry,The filter cake was washed three times with water to obtain a white solid (5.1 g, 91%).
