5-Aminoisophthalamide
To a solution of 5-nitroisophthalamide (2 g, 9.6 mmol) in MeOH (200 mL) was added Pd/C (200 mg).
The reaction was stirred overnight under a hydrogen atmosphere.
The suspension was filtered and the filtrate was concentrated to afford the desired product which was used directly in the next step.
