Reaction Conditions:

Steps:

a 5-Chloro-2-fluorobenzamide

This acid chloride was concentrated in vacuo, dissolved in dichloromethane (10 mL) and added dropwise to aqueous ammonia (30%, 40 mL). This mixture was stirred for a further 30 min and then extracted with dichloromethane (3 20 mL). The combined extracts were dried (MgSO4) and concentrated in vacuo resulting in a white solid (900 mg, 91%).
