A mixture of 1.5 g of the compound obtained in the preceding step and 100 ml of 2N hydrochloric ether solution in 10 ml of MeOH is left with stirring at AT overnight. The precipitate formed is isolated with suction and washed with ether. This gives 1.2 g of the expected product.
