To a solution of commercially available hexahydro-2,5-methano-pentalene- 3?-carboxylic acid (10 g, 0 06 mol) in dichloromeihane (200 mL) was added oxalyl chloride (8 7 g, 0 066 mol) The mixture was stirred overnight and then concentrated under reduced pressure to afford the title compound as a colorless oil (1 1 g, 99%). MS (DCI/NH3) m/z 184 (M+H)H
