73.1 step 1:

The reaction solution was quenched by adding glacial hydrochloric acid solution (1M), extracted and separated, the organic phases were combined, washed with saturated brine, dried over anhydrous sodium sulfate, and concentrated to obtain off-white solid C088-1 (4.6 g, yield 87%).
