A solution of 4-CH-LOR-O~2-FLUORONITROBEN- zene (5. 00 g, 28.48 mmol) in dry DMF (30 mL) con- TAINING CsF (4.33 g, 28. 48 mmol) was treated with ethyl isonipecotate (4.82 mL, 31.33 mmol) under N2 atmosphere at 0°C for 1 h and then at ambient tem- perature for 4 h. The reaction mixture was diluted with EtOAc (150 ML) AND washed with water (2X50 mL).
