A solution of BocaO (0.772 g, 3.54 mmol, 1 ,01 eq) in (20 mL) was added dropwise to a solution of S7 (1 ,6 g, 3.50 mmol) in (< (20 mL) over 14 h via a syringe pump. Upon completion, solvent was removed in vacuo and the residue purified by flash chromatography (CftCb/ eOH 1 : 0 to 8 : 2) to afford SI0 as a colorless oil (0.452 g, 0.812 mmol, 23%). IR (neat): v 3368, 2866, 1708, 1522, 1096 cm . MR (CDCi3, 500 MHz): 5 5.06 (br s, 1H)S 3.66-3.58 (m, 32H), 3.51 (t, J - 4.8 Hz, 4H), 331-3.26 (m, 2H), 2.88-2.84 (m, 2H)5 2.04 (br s, 2H), 1.42 (s, 9H). °C NMR (CDC13, 125 MHz): δ 155.9, 79.1 , 72.9, 70.7, 70.6, 70.5, 70.4, 70.2, 49.2, 41.7, 403, 28.4. IRMS (ESi): calcd for [M+Hf m/z 557.3649, found 5573624.
