2 1-(5-(2-(5-Chloro-2-methoxybenzamido)ethyl)-2-methoxyphenylsulfonyl)-3-methylthiourea
Example 2 1-(5-(2-(5-Chloro-2-methoxybenzamido)ethyl)-2-methoxyphenylsulfonyl)-3-methylthiourea 400 mg of 5-(2-(5-chloro-2-methoxybenzamido)ethyl)-2-methoxybenzenesulfonamide were dissolved in 5 ml of absolute dimethylformamide and 42 mg of 60% sodium hydride were added. The mixture was stirred at room temperature for 30 min. 1.2 ml of a 1M solution of methyl isothiocyanate in dimethylformamide were then added dropwise and the mixture was heated at 80° C. for 1.5 h. After it had been cooled down, the reaction mixture was added dropwise to 50 ml of 1N hydrochloric acid. The precipitated product was filtered off with suction and dried. Yield 96%. Melting point 190-193° C.
