2.3. Catalysts activity tests
Reductive amination of carbonyl compounds was conductedin a Teflon-lined stainless-steel autoclave (50 mL), and the CPOscale-up experiments were performed in a 500 mL stainlesssteel autoclave. The detailed reaction conditions are describedin the figure captions and table footnotes. In a representativereaction, CPO (0.17 g), catalyst (0.02 g), 1,4-dioxane (internalstandard, 0.1 g) and methanol (solvent, 5 mL) were loaded intoa stainless steel autoclave reactor. The autoclave was thenpurged three times with NH3 and pressurized to the desiredpressure. After purging with NH3, H2 was pressurized to therequired pressure. The autoclave was heated to a predeterminedtemperature over 20 min. The reaction was then conductedfor the target time at the target temperature applying amagnetic stirring speed of 600 r min1. Upon reaction completion,the reactor was immediately quenched in an ice-waterbath.
