A 250 mL flask equipped with a septum inlet and magnetic stir bar was charged with 50 mmol of BH3SMe2 and 18 mL of freshly distilled THF. It was cooled to 0° C. and 115 mmol of cyclohexene was added dropwise. After the mixture was stirred at 0° C. for 1 hour, (C6H11)2BH separates as a white solid.
