Steps:
I.A
Compound 4a is dissolved in DCM/MeOH (1 :1) and to the solution is added 5% Pd on carbon (30 mol %). The reaction mixture is then stirred under hydrogen until the reaction is determined to be complete by TLC analysis. The reaction is then concentrated in vacuo and is then subjected to column chromatography using silica gel to give the title compound 13.
