General procedure for the N-monoarylation of amidines
General procedure: To a suspension of free-base amidine or HCl salt ofamidine (0.2 mmol) in MeCN (4.0 ml) were added o-silyl aryl triflate (1.5 eq.), Cs2CO3 (1.5eq. if used) and CsF (2.0 eq.). The reaction mixture was stirred at 50 °C forthe time indicated. The reaction was diluted with DCM (5 mL), filtered andconcentrated. The product was purified by chromatography.
