Example 6: Preparation of 3-(amino methyl) N,N-diethyl-5-methyl hexanamide L(+) tartarate salt.; 3-methyl amino N,N-diethyl-5 -methyl hexanamide (10 gm) was suspended in water and added L(+) tartaric acid (7.0 gm). The reaction mixture was slowly heated to 40-45°C and stirred for 30 min and filtered to remove the un-dissolved material. The filtrate was cooled to 20°C and stirred at 15-20° C for 1 hour. Filtered the solid obtained washed with water and dried the material at 40-45 °C to obtain the title compoundYield: 5.9 grams.Specific optical Rotation: [α]_D²⁵ = + 9.2° (c=l, water)
